He began his career in January 1980 in the Animal Feed Manufacturing sector. He has held various administrative and commercial positions at Alia until 2008, when he was appointed Director of Purchasing.

Pedro Cordero
President of FEFAC
A Veterinary graduate with an MBA, he serves as Director of Institutional Relations and Strategy at Nutreco Iberia. He presides over FEFAC and serves as Vice President of CESFAC, in addition to being a member of the Board of Directors of IFIF. With management experience at Nanta since 1990, he served as General Director until 2022
Gonzalo G. Mateos
Moderator
Graduated in Animal Production from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, with doctorates in Veterinary Sciences (Autonomous University of Barcelona) and Animal Sciences (Iowa State University). He served as Editor-in-Chief of Animal Feed Science and Technology (2005-2013), having published 145 articles and delivered 500+ international conferences.
Gerardo Santomá
Consultant
A Doctor in Animal Nutrition and Veterinary Medicine, he has significantly influenced international animal nutrition and poultry farming. With extensive experience in both industry and as an associate professor, he has also contributed to research and sustainability. Even in retirement, he remains active, enjoying time with his family and pursuing his sporting passions.
Fuensanta Hernández

She has participated in 9 publicly funded projects, both nationally and within Europe. She has collaborated on over 50 contracts with livestock companies in the Murcia Region. Additionally, she has published more than 80 scientific articles and has supervised numerous undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses in the field of animal production.

Victoria Navas
Ministry of agriculture, fisheries and food of Spain
A Veterinary graduate from the Complutense University of Madrid, she has built her professional career in the animal feed industry and later in the Public Administration. Since 2019, she has been the head of the Animal Feed Area in the Subdirectorate General for Livestock Production Means, a unit within the Directorate General for Agricultural Productions and Markets of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food.

Fernando Antúnez
President of CESFAC
As Deputy General Director at COBADU since May 1989, he leads the manufacturing of feed and agricultural-livestock supply in Castilla y León. Additionally, he serves as CEO at ZASEPORC S.L., an insurance brokerage, since 2014, and at FERTIBLEND S.L., a gas oil and fertilizer supply company, since 1999.
Nan-Dirk Mulder
Rabobank
A global expert in animal proteins with over 20 years of experience at Rabobank. With a degree in agricultural economics, his strategic advice spans from agriculture to marketing. A frequent speaker at international events, his work influences the bank’s global commitments in the animal protein sector.
Olga Miró
SIP, analyst and agronomist engineer
She brings his expertise in pig production cost analysis at SIP Consultors. Furthermore, her involvement in the InterPIG group facilitates international comparison in swine economics. With her technical and economic knowledge, she offers a broad view of the sector and contributes to the development of business strategies.

A Veterinarian and independent consultant since 2002, he has been a key player in the Spanish and Latin American poultry industry. His commitment to research and teaching has led him to become an Associate Professor at the Cardenal Herrera-CEU University. Additionally, as the head of Galimetría SL, he promotes data analysis to enhance business efficiency.
Leonor Algarra
Ministry of agriculture, fisheries and food of Spain
A Veterinary graduate, she leverages her experience as Deputy General Subdirector at the Ministry of Agriculture. With over two decades of dedication to the animal feed sector, her leadership in the area of animal feed and livestock production marks a well-established trajectory in the public sphere.

Jorge de Saja
CESFAC (Moderator)
A lawyer and lobbyist, trained in Spain, Belgium, and Denmark. Since 2021, he has been the Managing Director of the Spanish Federation of Feed Industries (CESFAC) and the Secretary General of INTERAL. Additionally, he holds executive positions in other commercial and food health organizations, and is a member of various advisory and decision-making bodies in Spain and Europe.
Alex Doring

As Secretary General of FEFAC for over 25 years, he has been a key player in promoting sustainable agricultural and food policies at the European and international levels. His extensive experience in negotiations and commitment to innovation make him an influential figure in the sector.
Massimo Zanin
CEO of Veronesi
A leader in feed production in Italy, he joined in 1988. He rose from strategic marketing to sales and was appointed CEO in 2010. He is a member of the board of Veronesi Holding, the Assalzoo board, and the Fefac steering group. He resides in Verona, raised in South Tyrol.
Heinrich Kleine
DTC
Specializing in nutrition and management of high-performance animals such as dairy cows, poultry, and monogastric animals like highly fertile sows and piglets. His technical work includes raw material treatment for animal feed and food processing to improve intestinal health and sustainability in the food chain.
Jaume Coma
Vall Companys
A Veterinary graduate from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and a Doctor in Animal Nutrition from Iowa State University, USA. He has developed his professional career at the Vall Companys Group where he currently serves as part of the corporate management team in the feed and pork sector.
Dimas Antúnez

An Economist and Master in General Management of Financial Institutions, he has over 38 years of experience in the financial sector. He actively participates in social economics, collaborating in the creation and development of several foundations. Currently, he serves as CFO of the Bolschare group of companies and as Director of the Portuguese fund manager AQUA Partners.
Javier Piquer
Ministry of agriculture, fisheries and food of Spain
A Veterinary graduate from the University of Zaragoza and PhD from Iowa State University in 1994, he has excelled in the field of animal feed. With experience in sector companies, since 2004 he has contributed to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, rising to the position of Deputy Director of Livestock Production Means in 2019.

With over 40 years of experience in animal nutrition, he has been a reference in the development of advanced feeds. His specialization in formulation and scientific evaluation of ingredients has led him to contribute as a consultant for important projects in Europe. Andrea Bertaglio
Specialized Journalist
A journalist specialized in sustainability, climate change, and environmental issues. He has been coordinating “The Sustainable Meat Project” in Italy since 2013 and is the Campaign Manager of the “European Livestock Voice” in Brussels since February 2022. His work focuses on the impacts of agri-food production, especially in livestock. He is the author of “In Defense of Meat,” where he demystifies meat production and consumption.
Alicia Canut
Project manager of I+Porc
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza. She has extensive experience in official control, export, quality, food safety, animal welfare, health, and legislation in the food industry and livestock production. With a professional career in both the United Kingdom and Spain, she has focused on the pork sector. Since 2023, she has been managing projects at i+Porc.
Pedro Nonay
Consultant
An expert in global agricultural commodity markets with 36 years of experience. He was a partner and director at Solaris Commodities and held key positions at Louis Dreyfus Company and Cargill. Currently, he is a panelist, lecturer, and board member of several companies. He holds a degree in Sociology, Political Science, and Law from the Complutense University of Madrid.
Javier Sierra

A veterinarian and Executive MBA, with experience in rural development and Asian economics. At the Ministry of Agriculture, he led strategic projects and international negotiations. In China, as the first Agriculture and Environment counselor, he facilitated market opening and promoted Sino-Spanish cooperation. Currently, in Geneva, he serves as Agriculture Counselor at the Permanent Representation of Spain to the WTO.

Experienced professional in raw material procurement for animal feed. From Unión Alimentaria Sanders to Coren, he has led teams and managed logistics. President of the Raw Materials Commission of Cesfac since 2005 and Vice President of the Board of Cesfac since 2012. Currently, he presides over AGAFAC.

An Economist from the Autonomous University of Madrid. With 25 years of experience in finance and purchasing at Heineken, operating in 20 countries. He is a co-founder of an IoT start-up for the virtualization of physical objects in the service sector. Since 2016, he has served as Director of Purchasing at Nutreco Iberia.

Deputy General Director of Cefusa and board member of Grupo Fuertes, she has modernized livestock activity since 2014. Graduated in Business Administration and Management, she leads the implementation of technological advances, optimization of production systems, and promotes animal welfare and sustainability in the sector.

He has a distinguished career as purchasing manager in the food sector. For over a decade, from January 1993 to May 2004, he held that role at Harinera La Meta, S.A. Subsequently, he has continued to successfully perform the same function at Vall Companys Group.
Daniel Martínez

With over 30 years of trading experience, he has held prominent roles at Continental Hispánica, Nidera, and currently at Cefetra as Managing Director of Cefetra Ibérica and member of the Executive Committee of the Cefetra Group. Additionally, he presides over AECEC and is pursuing a doctoral program in Regenerative Agriculture at the University of Comillas.

Senior Grain Trader at Bunge Ibérica with 17 years of experience. Previously in execution at Bunge Ibérica and Transcatalana de Comercio. Graduated in Law from the University of Barcelona, with studies in International Trade. She has lived and worked in France and Ireland.
